Earlier today, the Famitsu Dengeki Game Awards 2019 took place earlier today.
Game Freak’s Pokémon Sword & Shield won both Game Of The Year and Best RPG. However, the biggest winner of the night was arguably Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding, who managed to grab the most awards.
These include Best Graphics, Best Action-Adventure Game, Best Rookie Game and Best Character for protagonist Sam Porter Bridges (as well as Most Valuable Creator too if you count Hideo Kojima’s award).
The awards (which celebrated the best games of 2019) was revealed in a live stream last night due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. The majority of award winners accepted their rewards through pre-recorded videos or via live stream.
