Guess Which 2009-Made Game Sold 200 Million Copies?

If you guessed Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, you’re totally wrong.
Unsurprisingly, the game that made its way onto schools as an educational program AND also still making waves on streams to this day will usually covet the 200 million sales mark. That title is, of course, Mojang’s Minecraft, celebrating its 11th anniversary with this piece of news.
Also, the company will be rebranding itself and teasing a slew of brand new games. In addition to the sales figures milestone, Studio head Helen Chiang also shared the game’s many contributions, such as free educational worlds on the Minecraft Marketplace that schools can use during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Here’s to another few years of Minecraft shenanigans, I guess. We need something to placate children and young ones into gaming without it being inherently violent and senseless.
