[Report] Divinity Guys To Make Next Baldur’s Gate Game
By Alleef Ashaari|May 31, 2019|0 Comment
Larian Studios is best known for developing the Divinity series of games, most recently of which was 2018’s Divinity: Original Sin II Definitive Edition. Now it seems that the developer is teasing a new game, which looks a lot like it’s going to be Baldur’s Gate 3.
The developer attracted attention when a teaser image of a ‘three’ logo popped up on their official website with no details whatsoever (via Kotaku). Later, a Twitter user by the name of @kunkken snooped into the HTML of the site and discovered hints that proved this mysterious new game is going to be the next Baldur’s Gate game, along with official trademarks from Dungeons & Dragons creators Wizards of the Coast.

This is a big deal not only because Baldur’s Gate is one of the most beloved CRPG franchises of all time, but also because the last true mainline game from the series was Bioware’s Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows Of Amn over a whopping 13 years ago in 2000. Many expansions and enhanced editions have since been released but a bonafide sequel was nowhere to be seen, until now, that is.
With E3 2019 inching ever closer in less than two weeks, we might be hearing more about Larian Studios’ mysterious new game very soon.
