[Rumour] Don’t Expect A Nintendo Direct This June

If you’re hoping for new game announcements from Nintendo this June, you may need to curb your expectations.

According to a VentureBeat report, Nintendo may not air a Nintendo Direct this June. The company said it would continue to be “flexible” and would redirect its efforts to “other ways” to keep fans and gamers up-to-date with game announcements & projects.

That won’t be the case this June. This is because of complications surrounding Japan’s work from home order in the wake of COVID-19. The next Nintendo Direct will instead air in summer.

The next major Nintendo Direct video will focus on the 35th anniversary of the Mario series, as well as reveal the rumoured Super Mario remasters like Super Mario Sunshine and the Super Mario Galaxy series. In fact, a deluxe version of 2013’s Super Mario 3D World was also rumoured to be in the works.
