The 10 Best Avatar: Legend of Korra Episodes That Define The Series

Here’s how we would rank each of the books:

Book Three > Book Four > Book One > Book Two

Just a disclaimer: you still need to watch all four books to get why this ranking applies. Legend of Korra is a great series as a whole and a worthy follow-up to the Avatar legacy.

Having said that, there are noticeable issues. Its stumbling blocks might be the first two books and some of its lesser episodes and character treatments – like “The Spirit of Competition” and most of Book Two’s bits- but it’s still better than most television series that aren’t even consistent from start to finish.

At the very least, the production and writing team blew it out of the water quality-wise with the last two books of the series. Book Three is slightly better than Book Four because of how menacing & charismatic the Red Lotus leader Zaheer is. And the fights involving the Red Lotus are pretty ace too.

Then again, Book Four had a mecha and badass earthbending fights courtesy of Kuvira’s army, so it’s still a tough call no matter how you put it.
