Sony Is Refusing To Refund Cyberpunk 2077 On PS4
By Alleef Ashaari|December 15, 2020|0 Comment
The Cyberpunk 2077 post-launch drama continues, especially for those on current-gen/last-gen consoles like PS4 and Xbox One, whose experience has been buggy and prevalent with issues.
Even after CD Projekt Red advised players to request for refunds from PSN or Xbox yesterday, it seems like Sony didn’t get the memo for some reason.
According to users from Resetera and Twitter, Sony is reportedly telling players that they won’t refund PS4 copies of Cyberpunk 2077. Instead, they’re telling players to wait for the major patches that will be coming in January and February 2021.
So today’s update, Sony support refused another refund for #Cyberpunk2077. They said even if the devs say refund it, they won’t do it. Lied about the game not being broken and lied about what CDPR stated. Tl:dr you are stuck with a broken game, wait til patched. Some support. pic.twitter.com/MsyI11VCGO

@CyberpunkGame So, CD Projekt Red came through and said they'd agree to refunds for PS4 owners.

Sony? Not so much. If you downloaded it, they will not refund the title. pic.twitter.com/TUutotHl3b
@PlayStation just denied my refund request for #Cyberpunk2077, stating "There are two large patches coming in Jan and Feb…" Disappointed they let this game through when it clearly wasn't optimized for older consoles. Guess the release date should have been February 2021 ????

Sony refused refunds for preorders given its more than 14 days old. I had 0 playtime on my console and wanted to refund and they refused. Goes to show, only order physical copies, and only from amazon at that

Why is this happening? Apparently, a lot of these refund requests aren’t in line with the Sony’s refund policies, which are have been notoriously strict and only been given in very rare circumstances.
If you’re still trying to get a refund for Cyberpunk 2077, you can still try contacting the developer directly from now until 21 December 2020 by emailing them at helpmerefund@cdprojektred.com.
