Genshin Impact’s Upcoming Hypostatic Genocide Event Starts This Weekend

Want to be the best elemental block-murdering assassin out there in the world of Teyvat? Well, this upcoming Genshin Impact event will sate your block party bloodlust.

With Genshin Impact’s Lost Riches event coming to a close, developer Mihoyo has revealed details on the next one: the Hypostatic Symphony. This event will feature Pure versions of the elemental Hypostases for players to fight against. Players will fight these never-seen-before versions of the Hypostases to gain points in a series of challenges that unlock within 7 days from the event’s starting date.

Each of these challenges with the Geo, Anemo, and Electro Hypostases will offer different difficulty levels and Variations (modifiers for the fight). Players can either attempt this solo or co-op. They can change the same stage multiple times to attempt a new high score.

If your total score hits a certain amount, you can claim the event-exclusive namecard style “Celebration: Hypostasis”. Oh, and you’ll get Primogems for your troubles too.

The event will last from 16th January 10am to 31st January 3:59am; the event is eligible for players at Adventure Rank 20 and above. If they’re anything like the regular Hypostases battles, players will need to watch out for the boss’ final phase where they summon cubes and shards that need destroying, otherwise they come back to life again with a fraction of their health.
