PlayStation recently uploaded its top downloaded and free games of last year just to show that its PlayStation Network and revamped store is still ticking. Here they are:

Top Free PlayStation Game Downloads Of 2020

1. Call of Duty: Warzone
2. Rocket League
3. Fortnite
4. Apex Legends
5. Rogue Company
6. Hyperscape
7. Genshin Impact
8. Destiny 2
9. Brawlhalla
10. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Lite

Our takeaways:

• Activision’s way of handling Call of Duty in 2020, with Warzone being free and Modern Warfare (2019) and Black Ops: Cold War being “optional paid games to complement Warzone“, seems to be working well for PS4 and PS5 owners.
• The usual online gaming suspects are here: Rocket League, Fortnite, Apex Legends. 
• Yes, we’re pretty surprised that Rogue Company and Hyperscape are pretty high on the list while Genshin Impact is pretty low. To be fair, the PS4 version of Genshin Impact isn’t optimized well. And they may not have numbers, but we guess that the number disparity between the top 4 games and the bottom 6 is very, very huge.
