Jeff Goldblum Joins A Dungeons & Dragons Podcast

Veteran actor Jeff Goldblum is venturing into a new world; the world of Dungeons & Dragons. According to Deadline, he will be voicing an elven sorcerer named Balmur on an upcoming season of the Dungeons & Dragons podcast Dark Dice.

Balmur is one of the five player-characters in the audio drama. Just like a game of Dungeons & Dragons, the outcome of the story is determined by the fated rolling of dice, so it’ll be exciting and random.

Dark Dice’s quest takes place after a failed attempt to save the world and follows the team’s hunt for revenge against the other player-controlled team. In the story, Goldblum’s team is stalked by a creature known as The Silent One, a deceptive being that steals the face and voice of any creature it chooses.

The new season of Dark Dice is titled The Long March and will launch on 12 May 2021. It’s not just any normal podcast, since it features immersive soundscapes, a diverse international cast, and an original soundtrack featuring an orchestra, over thirty medieval instruments, and a live choir singing in Infernal, Icelandic, and Elvish.

New episodes of the podcast will release monthly on all podcasting platforms. Dark Dice was originally created by Fool & Scholar Productions.
