Feast your eyes on one of the most expensive and advanced Transformers toys ever made. It’s currently up for pre-order on Hasbro Pulse for a whopping US$699. It was revealed as part of Hasbro’s collector-centric Pulse Fanfest event.
The Robosen’s Optimus Prime is more than just a toy; it’s more like a programmable robot. It can walk and drive, as well as responds to commands issued by voice or via a mobile app. Advanced users will even be able to program advanced actions via code. It also comes equipped with more than 80 sound effects, including clips from voice actor Peter Cullen, and the classic transforming sound from the cartoon.
Impressively, it’s assembled from over 5,000 components, including 60 microchips and 27 servo motors.
