God Of War Ragnarok Delayed To 2022
By Alleef Ashaari|June 3, 2021|1 Comment
It’s been a while since we last heard anything concrete about Sony Santa Monica’s God Of War Ragnarok, which is the upcoming sequel to 2018’s excellent God Of War on the PS4. The last time was when it was announced during the PS5 Digital Showcase in September 2020.
Now we’ve finally received an update and it’s not good news for fans of the game. In an interview on PlayStation Blog, PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst confirmed that God Of War Ragnarok has been delayed from its original 2021 release window and will now launch sometime next year in 2022.
He said:
“And for God of War, the project started a little later. So we’ve made the decision to push that game out to next year, to ensure that Santa Monica Studio can deliver the amazing God of War game that we all want to play.”
Interestingly, he also mentioned in the same interview that he’s not certain if Horizon Forbidden West will make it for the 2021 holiday season. 2018’s God Of War also recently received a free update for the PS5 to take advantage of the new next-gen console’s powerful hardware.
Sony Santa Monica also confirmed the delay via Twitter:

God of war Ragnarok is going to be epic though it is not developed by epic games, I so much love the trailer and the new interactive elements that have been added. I love how arterus has grown significantly since the hame of 2018. this game is also going to be another award winner. But I am very disappointed at their depiction of thor as fat blubber.
