Shin Megami Tensei 5 New Story Trailer Revealed

Atlus just revealed the next trailer for its upcoming post-apocalyptic demon-filled JRPG Shin Megami Tensei 5, which is NOT a spin-off of the Persona series.

The game’s new trailer talks about the story, where you and your pals determine if the world is worth saving or sacrificing. Yep, you have a couple of pals who determine whether your Nabihino avatar (neither demon nor man) will align towards Law, Chaos, or Neutral. That’s on par with the series, meaning the game will have multiple outcomes. Those human friends of yours during the school days portion? You will probably have to kill all but one, in their demon/otherworldly forms, of them to determine the endgame.

Gameplay-wise, the trailer showed off a bunch of new and returning demons from past SMT titles like Alice and King Frost, fully animated in 3D on the Unreal Engine 4 and not a semi-static 2D image. Guess all that Persona money is being put to good use.

Shin Megami Tensei 5 is coming out on 12th November for Nintendo Switch. Check out the screencaps of the trailer below.
