EA’s Respawn Entertainment Will Churn Out New Star Wars Titles

Let’s hope this is something a video game-making studio wants because this news sounds like assembly line work reminiscent of the 2000s.

EA confirms that Respawn Entertainment, the developer behind Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be working on new Star Wars titles under the publisher. These new games include the next Star Wars Jedi game (Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2), a new Star Wars FPS game, and a new Star Wars strategy title.

Game director Stig Amussen, known for working on God of War 3 and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, will be working on the next Jedi: Fallen Order game. The Star Wars FPS game is being overseen by game directed Peter Hirschmann of Star Wars: Battlefront and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed series. The Star Wars strategy title will be made by studio Bit Reactor, a team formed by ex-XCOM developers led by XCOM 2 art director Greg Foerstech.

On a related note, there will be a new Star Wars game from Ubisoft made by Quantic Dream called Star Wars Eclipse, which is set in Lucasfilm’s High Republic era for Star Wars.
