Evil Dead The Game Brings The Boomstick This May

Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games have announced that the co-op and PvP multiplayer game Evil Dead The Game will be released on 13 May 2021, after being delayed several times. It will launch for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

The official statement (via Twitter) reads:

“When we set out to create a brand new game worthy of the Evil Dead franchise, we knew it had to be groovy as hell. In order to deliver the best possible experience, Evil Dead: The Game is now coming on May 13, 2022.

This delay gives our team the time they need to get things just right, so your boomstick will be polished, fully loaded, and ready to blast Deadites on that Friday the 13th of May. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Don’t worry, you won’t have to wait too long for more news: stay tuned for pre-order info and a BRAND NEW TRAILER in February!

Evil Dead The Game was originally announced during The Game Awards 2020. The game will feature the original cast of 1981’s Evil Dead, including Ellen Sandweiss (Cheryl), Hal Delrich (Scotty), and of course, Bruce Campbell (Ash) as playable Survivors, as well as Betsy Baker (Linda) and Theresa Tilly (Shelly) in special appearances.

In the meantime, check out the previously-revealed gameplay trailer below:
