Genshin Impact Publishers Unveils Own Metaverse; Dubbed HoYoverse

Mihoyo, the publishers and creators of this generation’s anime waifu-filled timesink Genshin Impact, has unveiled its own brand of metaverse and virtual world experience.

It’s called the HoYoverse and it aims to combine its games, anime, and other content into a global virtual world. The HoYoverse aims to bring Genshin Impact, Honkai Impact 3rd, and Tears of Themis (all three being their own creations) together under one virtual metaverse banner, alongside other tie-ins they can get their hands on. This also includes virtual character Lumi and the N0va Desktop App they made a while back.

Here’s a quote from co-founder/CEO Haoyu Cai about this new venture.

“Our mission in establishing HoYoverse is to create a vast and content-driven virtual world that integrates games, anime, and other diverse types of entertainment, which will provide players with a high level of freedom and immersion. We will continue to focus on long-term operation strategies, consistent technical research, and innovation in a variety of fields, including artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and pipeline construction, to ensure that sufficient content is created to meet the expectations of players worldwide for a virtual world experience.”

Speaking of timesink, the next Genshin Impact update, version 2.5, will be out on the 16th of February. Hope you have those primogems stocked up for the pink fox lady everyone’s clamouring about.

  1. Have you ever thought about including a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is fundamental and everything.
However just imagine if you added some great images or video clips
to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent
but with images and clips, this site could definitely be
one of the most beneficial in its niche. Very good blog!
