Jade Raymond & Haven Reveal More Details About Their New Game
Last year in March 2021, games industry veteran Jade Raymond formed a new games developing company called Haven Entertainment Studios. Almost a year later, she has revealed more details about her first game with the new studio, as well as what to expect from them.
In an interview with Canadian French-language publication Le Devoir, Raymond said that the company has tripled in size since they were originally announced last year. She also confirmed that their first game will be released on both the PS5 and PC. The game is described as a “persistent and evolving online environment”, which sounds a lot like it will be a live service title.
It was also revealed that Raymond and Haven will be working with the legendary Mark Cerny, who was the lead system architect during the development of PS4 and PS5, in order to push the technical capabilities of the PS5 even further. Raymond previously worked in high positions at EA, Ubisoft and Google Stadia. Most notably, she helped create the Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs franchises at Ubisoft. Her last job before Haven was as the lead at Google Stadia Games & Entertainment, which ultimately closed down in February 2021.
