Lost Ark Is Getting More European Servers To Help With Demand
By Jonathan Toyad|February 15, 2022|0 Comment
Smilegate and Amazon Games’ MMORPG Lost Ark is pretty popular right now, so much so that it’s having trouble keeping up with demands.
The game will introduce a new European server region to cope with demand following its massive launch. In case you didn’t hear, Lost Ark reached 1.3 million peak players and is the second-highest concurrent player peak right now, beaten only by PUBG.
With such a popular title, players should expect long queues in the US and European servers; we’ve experienced wait times for an hour or so just to get in. Hence, a new European server region.
“Due to the game’s architecture this is the only way to accommodate more players in Europe so it’s a joint effort between Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG. Rest assured we are working 24/7 until it’s live.
While we understand lengthy queue times may persist, we will need time to ensure everything is set up to be in top shape to help accommodate all players to get in the game. We’ll share an update on exact timings as soon as possible.
If you plan to restart in the new region, you may wish to hold off on claiming any ‘per Account’ items, such as the additional Founder’s Pack Redemption, until you have created a character and are able to redeem in the new region.”
To sweeten the launch month entry, Amazon and Smilegate are offering a welcoming gift for those who enter Lost Ark before 1st March. Here’s what you’ll get if you enter right now:
That’s a lot of sweet loot for just entering. If you’re having trouble getting into the game outside of USA and Europe, here’s a guide for that. If you need an answer for which classes to start with, we also have a guide for that too.
