WayForward Announces 2D Shooter Spidersaurs For Consoles

WayForward just announced a pretty rad-looking 2D run-and-gun shoot-em-up featuring spiders and rock stars.

It’s called Spidersaurs and you play either officer-in-training Adrian or punk rocker Victoria as they run, jump, climb, and shoot their way out of many 2D levels filled with spiders, creatures spliced with spiders, and other monstrosities with eight-legs/mandibles.

If you like 2D shooters like Contra and Metal Slug, you’ll feel right at home with Spidersaurs. Plus, both Adrian and Victoria have character-specific run-and-gun powers which means different playstyles for co-op play! Check out the gameplay trailer below.

Spidersaurs will be out for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series in Spring 2022. The game was out on Apple Arcade back in 2019.
