Cyberpunk 2077 Expansion Is Coming… In 2023
CD Projekt Red has announced that the first Cyberpunk 2077 expansion will be released sometime in 2023. The Polish studio made the announcement during their latest financial call and confirmed the news in a tweet earlier today.
As it was mentioned in @CDPROJEKTRED_IR financial call moments ago, Cyberpunk 2077's upcoming expansion will arrive in 2023. Please stay tuned for more details coming later this year ? https://t.co/rq1w6RDTDL

This is the first time CD Projekt Red since the game’s launch that the developer is providing any insight into when the expansion might be released. Cyberpunk 2077 originally launched in December 2020, so it will be at least a whopping three years before the game even gets its first expansion.
That doesn’t sound good. To be fair, the developer had to spend most of its time since launch fixing the broken game to even make it playable, so there’s that. CD Projekt Red also announced that Cyberpunk 2077 has sold more than 18 million copies, while The Witcher 3 just crossed 40 million units sold.
