Plague Inc. Celebrates 10th Anniversary With Infectious Statistics

Remember that popular game where you end humanity with a virus? Plague Inc. is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year in 2022 and the developer, Ndemic Creations, is sharing some shocking statistics about the game to commemorate the milestone.

Available on PC (via Steam) and mobile (Android and iOS), Plague Inc. boasts more than 180 million players worldwide. Ironically, the most popular name for a virus is, well, COVID-19. That’s not surprising, considering the second and third most popular names are Death and Poop, respectively. Really classy, folks.

Oh, and you’d probably guess the most popular starting country too. Too late, it’s China. For some reason, the least popular starting country is Finland. Poor Finland.
