PlayStation VR 2 Will Launch With More Than 20 Games
By Alleef Ashaari|May 26, 2022|0 Comment
Sony Interactive Entertainment president and CEO Jim Ryan has shared new details and information on PlayStation‘s strategy in the future during the Game & Network Services Segment of Sony Corporation’s Business Segment Briefings 2022. According to the presentation, the PlayStation VR 2 (or PSVR 2) will launch with more than 20 major first-party and third-party titles.
Horizon Call Of The Mountain is one of these games, which is a VR game set in the world of Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West. What this means is that Sony is probably taking VR more seriously this time around, with more major games for gamers to sink into when the PlayStation VR 2 eventually comes out (whenever that may be).
During the same briefing, Ryan also shared that PlayStation wants to expand their PC and mobile output. By the fiscal year of 2025, they expect 50 percent of output on the PS5, 30 percent on the PC, and 20 percent on mobile. For mobile, they’re planning to partner with “respected, established, and successful” mobile game developers on certain IP to extend their franchises to more players.
