The Witcher 4 Has Entered Pre-Production
CD Projekt has recently confirmed that its upcoming Witcher sequel has entered pre-production.
The company wrapped up the research phase for the next game in the series. There’s still no official title yet, but the game will kick off “a new saga” for the franchise. Here’s what CD Projekt CEO Piotr Nielubowicz has to say during the company’s earnings results report yesterday.
“We have recently wrapped up the research phase, which means the project has now progressed to pre-production and we’ve begun to capitalise development expenses related to this new game.”
The next-gen versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for Xbox Series and PS5 will be out in the fourth quarter of 2022. Speaking of open-world games, CD Projekt is still working on content for Cyberpunk 2077. A major expansion featuring a new storyline is in development and is scheduled for 2023.
