Star Wars Jedi Survivor Announced, Coming In 2023

EA and Respawn Entertainment have officially announced Star Wars Jedi Survivor, the sequel to 2019’s Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, during Star Wars Celebration 2022. It is slated to launch for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC sometime in 2023.

Not much has been revealed about the game, but Star Wars Jedi Survivor will take place five years after the events of Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order.

The synopsis reads:

Cal must stay one step ahead of the Empire’s constant pursuit as he begins to feel the weight of being one of the last remaining Jedi in the galaxy. Accompanied by his trusty companion BD-1, Cal will meet and ally himself with an array of unique and interesting characters on his journey. Jedi: Survivor will expand on the series’ dynamic combat in new and innovative ways. In order to survive, Cal must learn new skills and grow his connection with the Force.

The trailer teases what seems to be the Grand Inquisitor as one of the main antaonists of the game, as well as a mysterious pale figure in a bacta tank.

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order was a major success, having sold more than 10 million units worldwide. However, EA is now no longer the only publisher to have video game rights to the franchise. Ubisoft is also making its own game, Quantic Dream recently announced Star Wars Eclipse and there’s also the Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic remake by Aspyr Media.

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Check out our full review of Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order here to find out why we named it one of the best games of 2019.
