Adventure Academia Is A New RPG Spun Off From Class of Heroes

Acquire’s next big JRPG is coming off from its Class of Heroes franchise.

Its new title is called Adventure Academia: The Fractured Continent and it features an adventurer named Alex who has the Ruler Orb. This weapon can command others on the battlefield, which he will need to search for his missing father in colourful yet dangerous fantasy world.

The gist of this isometric grid-based JRPG is you can command up to 10 heroes as they attack and advance on the field in real-time, but it’s up to you to decide what commands they should follow.

Key features:

  • Pick them up by pinching them, deploy them on the field, and the let the battle commence! Use markers to tactically guide your student soldiers in real time!
  • Uh oh! Backed into a corner by a deadly attack? Just pinch your students out of harm’s way! Each stage features gargantuan boss monsters with varying abilities and attacks! You’ll have to guide your party properly… Or face being wiped out!
  • An Edgy… Master Artist… Mentally Weak… Dwarf?! Choose your students! With ten races and over eighty different personality traits to mix and match with, you’ll have a unique squad in no time!
  • Up to 10 races you can recruit, from Humans to the tough dragon-like Bahamoon.

Check out the gameplay below. Adventure Academia: The Fractured Continent will be out on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on 8th September in Japanese; the English version is “coming soon”.
