Naoki Yoshida Is Going All Out With The Next Final Fantasy

PlayStation’s State of Play June 2022 showcase revealed a lot of gameplay and new info about Final Fantasy 16, the next series mothership JRPG title from Square Enix. The game is being produced by Naoki Yoshida (of FFXIV fame) and directed by Hiroshi Takai (of SaGa and Last Remnant fame).

The game has a huge selection of talent behind it, with Masayoshi Soken on music duties and Kazutoyo Maehiro on screenplay work. Both of these creators have worked on Final Fantasy XIV; it’s basically Naoki Yoshida sticking close to home here.
