Resident Evil Village Rose DLC & Additional Mercenaries Characters Announced

Capcom just announced a lot of new content for last year’s survival horror hit Resident Evil Village.

Dubbed The Winters’ Expansion, the game will add a Shadows of Rose DLC where the game focuses on Ethan Winter’s daughter 16 years later after the RE Village story, where she has to come to terms with her new powers and explore the mysterious realm inside the “consciousness of the Megamycete” for a cure. The DLC will also add in a third-person mode for the campaign so you can see Ethan Winters’ back in all its long-coated glory, and more characters to use in The Mercenaries like Chris Redfield, Heisenberg, and Tall Vampire Lady herself, Lady Dimitrescu.

Those yearning for dark shadows got a first glimpse of the long-awaited downloadable content for Resident Evil Village. “The Winters’ Expansion” arrives October 28, 2022 on all available platforms.

The new content includes:

• A Third-Person Mode for the campaign.
• “The Mercenaries: Additional Orders” featuring new stages and playable characters Chris Redfield, Heisenberg, and Lady Dimitrescu.
• A continuation of the story in “Shadows of Rose”. Set 16 years after the events of Resident Evil Village, this new tale follows Rose Winters, the daughter of main protagonist Ethan, as she struggles with her terrifying powers. Players must explore and survive a warped and mysterious realm inside the consciousness of the Megamycete in search of a cure.
