On the noon of 4th of July, Project Kawaii by Air Asia announced on their Twitter the graduation of their first ever Vtuber Idol, Aozora Kurumi.

This has shocked many of her fans as it comes shortly after her return from hiatus on the 1st of July in the same week. Kurumates (Kurumi’s fanbase) were saddened by the sudden news but also respects and remains supportive of her decision.

Many fans replied to the Twitter post thanking her for the memories, reminiscing her fun-filled reactions on her gameplay livestreams, and sharing her beautiful voice such as with her cover of Doja Cat’s “Say So” in both English and Japanese on her Youtube channel.

Project Kawaii noted that content on her channel and social media accounts will remain public while her Streamlabs tip page and Youtube membership will be up until the 9th of August 2022. In the remaining few weeks of her Vtuber activities, Kurumi will also release her last song cover.

Aozora Kurumi will hold her graduation and final stream on the 7^th of August 2022. Kurumi will also do her Graduation Announcement stream, giving the opportunity to her beloved Kurumates for a Q&A Session regarding anything between her future plans or reading out sweet and warm wishes from fans.
