Clerks 3 Is A Thing; Out This September
It had to happen: popular geek and (in)famous director Kevin Smith is going back to the proverbial View Askew well again to release a third Clerks movie.
Clerks, an indie film that propelled Kevin Smith to stardom and popular culture geekdom, is a film about two store clerks talking shit and debating about Star Wars. Clerks 3 is basically that, except the cast is way older with one of its store guys Randall Graves (Jeff Anderson) getting a heart attack. After an epiphany, he decides to use his borrowed time to make a movie with the help of his best pal Dante (Brian O’Halloran), his lackey Elias (Trevor Fehrman), Dante’s wife Becky (Rosario Dawson), and the duo known as Jay and Silent Bob (Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith respectively).
Check out the new trailer below, featuring a cameo from Kevin Smith’s best pal Ben Affleck.
Clerk 3 will be out in US theaters this fall on 13 September. We’ll probably only get to watch it when it’s available on streaming platforms a few months after that release date; the topics and swearing alone in this movie might probably give the LPF several heart attacks.
