Grand Theft Auto 6 Will “Set Creative Benchmarks For The Series”
Rockstar Games usually gets away with developing and publishing games whenever it wants; it is a company that’s successful because of the Grand Theft Auto series alone. This means a message like the one below is probably sounding like a humblebrag, but it usually gets away with it.
Speaking as part of Take-Two’s financial update, the publisher’s CEO Strauss Zelnick says that the next GTA game will “set creative benchmarks for the series” with the development of the game being well underway.
“The Rockstar Games team is determined to once again set creative benchmarks for the series, our industry, and for all entertainment, just as the label has done with every one of their frontline releases.”
As a reminder, the game is clearly two ways away and may be down to sweeping cultural changes at Rockstar. Due to the company fixing crunch culture, expect the game to at least be out in either 2024 or 2025. The game will allegedly feature the return of Vice City in the modern era, as well as feature a Latino female protagonist.
