Here’s Your First Major Gameplay Look At Harvestella, The Square Enix Harvest Moon/Rune Factory Clone
Square Enix has allowed Nintendo to showcase a lot of its upcoming farming JRPG simulator mashup Harvestella. And it’s looking promising.
Despite being heavily inspired by Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons/Rune Factory, there’s a distinctive Square Enix melancholy charm to the game’s aesthetics, gameplay, and harvesting aspects of Harvestella. You play a hero with amnesia who has to explore a crash site of a recently-fallen meteor and find out why it’s causing problems in the town you’re in. Along the way, you keep your farm healthy and also spend time exploring the outskirts to deal with the plague that’s caused by the meteor.
Also, you will be taught new skills like magic from different sorts of monsters. All this will be provided with background music from Go Shiina, the famed JRPG composer known for Tales of Legendia, the God Eater titles, Code Vein, and the Mr. Driller series.
