KOF XV Orochi Yashiro, Shermie, & Chris Will Be Out Next Week; Crossplay Next Year

The King of Fighters XV’s latest characters will be out next week, and will have the long-awaited crossplay feature next year.

SNK announced during EVO 2022 that Team Awakened Orochi, which features Orochi Yashiro, Orochi Chris, and Orochi Shermie, will release on 8th August. That’s this coming Monday. To recap, they play like their KOF ’97, KOF ’98, and KOF 2002 counterparts with moves different from the original Yashiro, Shermie, and Chris. They also come with ex-boss Goenitz’s snazzy uniforms.

In addition, the game will receive cross-platform play between the PC, Xbox, and PlayStation versions sometime in 2023. Right now, crossplay is only available between PS5 and PS4 users.

On that note, the next Season 1 DLC characters will be out in Autumn 2022. We’re guessing it’s a Samurai Shodown team featuring Haohmaru, Nakoruru, and Darlene Dagger.
