Retro Game Dev Sunsoft Is Hosting A Virtual Event Next Week
By Jonathan Toyad|August 12, 2022|0 Comment
If you’ve been gaming since the 80s, chances are you’ve heard of Sunsoft. The company is known for making classic games like the Batman adaptations, the cute-but-tough platformer Gimmick, and the ex-Terminator 2D run-and-gun Journey to Silius. All of them have awesome soundtracks that still hold up today.
The classic game devs have somehow been sticking around the past few years (2018 onward to be exact), and are planning to make a retro gaming-related announcement next week. The company will be hosting a virtual event where it plans to show off titles coming in 2022 and 2023 via its YouTube channel on 19th August 4am GMT+8.
Here is what its current general manager Yuichi Ochi has to say:
“Although we have been quiet for some time, many things have been happening behind the scenes. We are very excited to be able to finally share our vision for the rebirth of Sunsoft with fans old and new.”
Call it a comeback, I guess.
