Samurai Maiden Is Part Action Game, Part Ninja Romance Simulator
D3 Publisher, the same publishers behind the Earth Defense Force and Onechanbara series, has revealed a new action game project that’s in line with its vision of otaku gaming: Samurai Maiden.
Teased a couple of days ago, D3 Publisher just released a full-fledged trailer for the upcoming game, where schoolgirls get transported to feudal Japan and beat up enemies of that time period with swords and other things while looking cute. You play main girl protagonist Tsumugi Tamaori who ends up recruiting female ninjas in that era to survive and find a way home, using the blade of Nobunaga to cut down supernatural enemies across the underworld.
As you can tell from the trailer below, the action is fast-paced and the cheesecake factor is pretty high. The game also has a romantic element where Tsumugi and her ninja squad bond and hang out, as well as unleash new and powerful techniques instigated by passionately kissing each other.
Yep, sounds like a D3 game alright.
Samurai Maiden will be out in Winter 2022 for PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5.
