Shazam 2 Delayed To Next Year, Aquaman 2 Moved To Christmas 2023
Bad news, folks. Warner Bros. Discovery has delayed both Shazam 2 AKA Shazam Fury Of The Gods and Aquaman 2 AKA Aquaman The Lost Kingdom.
Shazam Fury Of The Gods was originally planned for 21 December 2022 but will now release on 17 March 2023, according to sources from Deadline. Meanwhile, Aquaman The Lost Kingdom will premiere on 25 December 2023 instead of 17 March 2023, with Shazam Fury Of The Gods taking the March 2023 release date.
What this means is that Black Adam will be the only remaining DC Comics movie coming out in 2022, as it’s still slated for October 2022… for now.
Shazam Fury Of The Gods stars returning cast members Zachary Levi as Shazam; Asher Angel as Billy Batson; Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman; Adam Brody as Super Hero Freddy; Ross Butler as Super Hero Eugene; Meagan Good as Super Hero Darla; D.J. Cotrona as Super Hero Pedro; Grace Caroline Currey as Mary Bromfield / Super Hero Mary; Faithe Herman as Darla Dudley; Ian Chen as Eugene Choi; Jovan Armand as Pedro Pena; Marta Milans as Rosa Vasquez; Cooper Andrews as Victor Vasquez; with Djimon Hounsou as Wizard.
Joining the cast are Rachel Zegler, Lucy Liu and Helen Mirren as three goddesses, with the latter being the film’s antagonists. The film is directed by David F. Sandberg and produced by Peter Safran. Rachel Zegler will play the youngest of the three goddesses.
