League Of Legends Netflix Show Arcane Wins Emmy Award For Outstanding Animated Program

Great news, animation fans and connoisseurs of rare videogame-to-show adaptations that are good.

Riot Games’ League of Legends & Fortische TV show Arcane, which airs on Netflix, has won a Creative Arts Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program. The show has beaten the following nominees in the same category:

  • Bob’s Burgers
  • Rick and Morty
  • The Simpsons
  • What If?

Arcane has also won an award for Outstanding Sound Editing for a Drama Series/Animation, as well as Outstanding Achievement in Animation for the following team members who worked on the show: Anne-Laure To, Julien Goerge, and Bruno Couchinho.

Arcane’s first season definitely impressed us at Kakuchopurei for telling a great story with interesting characters, an out-there setting, and gorgeous animation, music, and sound work. Even if you hate League of Legends’ toxic online meta, you’ll still love the Netflix fantasy show. Plus, that theme song from Imagine Dragon is infectious as hell, and I’m not even a fan of Imagine Dragons.
