Shingo & Kim Are Coming To KOF XV In January 2023 Onward; Samurai Shodown Also Gets Rollback
The King Of Fighters XV’s Season 2 Pass will start rolling out on January 2023.
SNK has launched a trailer announcing its arrival. It also mentions that character balance and refinements, along with classic character Shingo Yabuki will be out first in January 2023. For those not in the know, Shingo is Kyo’s pupil in the art of fighting. He has spirit, but he obviously cannot unleash Kusanagi flames; all of his moves are “lesser” versions of Kyo’s moveset, though they hit really hard as a trade-off.

Mainstay Fatal Fury/KOF Taekwando fighter Kim Kaphwan, who is absent in KOF XV, will be out as a Season 2 character on Spring 2023. The DLC will also add in more playable characters, as well as much-needed crossplay among PC, Xbox, and PlayStation users.
As icing on the fighting game cake, the 2019 Samurai Shodown reboot will finally, FINALLY get rollback netcode for PC and consoles. The PC open beta rollback test will happen on January 2023, while the console versions will happen in the near future.
