Kakuchopurei Best 30 Games Of 2022: #21

For the rest of the list, head here. For #22, head here.

#21. Metal Hellsinger (PS5, Xbox Series X | S, PS4, PC)

Metal: Hellsinger isn’t your typical FPS game, no not at all. Think of Call of Duty: Zombies mixed with your typical rhythm game. The main mechanic that makes this game so unique is that firing on beat with the phenomenal soundtrack maximises your damage potential.

It has impressive visuals partnered with an absolute head-banging OST. The levels aren’t too complicated and tend to follow the formula throughout but regardless it never gets boring which could be thanks to the wide range of weapons you have at your disposal to cater for any and every kind of playstyle.

Furthermore, when it was released, to say that it was refreshing is an understatement as it put a new spin on what is already a heavily saturated genre in first-person shooters. And for that, this extremely well-developed rhythm-shooter makes our Top 30 list. It’s definitely a shooter that requires a bit of focus, more so than usual. But for those who are more than good enough at rhythm games, it will be a breeze.
