Legendary Japanese singer Ichiro Mizuki has passed away at the age of 74 on 6 December 2022 from lung cancer. According to a report by Forbes Gaming, Mizuki was initially diagnosed with lung cancer with lymph node and brain metastasis back in July 2022.
However, he still performed in what is now his last performance as recently as 27 November 2022. He is best known and referred to by fans as the “Aniking” or king of anime songs. That’s because he has sung a lot of anime songs over the years, as well as songs featured in games and live-action tokusatsu. He also founded the Japanese band JAM Project in 2000.
He will be missed. RIP.
