Actress Annie Wersching, The Voice Of Tess In The Last Of Us, Dies At 45

Actress Annie Wersching has passed away due to cancer early this morning at the age of 45.

According to the late actress’ publicist (via Deadline), Wersching continued working and filming despite having been diagnosed with cancer in 2020. She was best known for voicing the character Tess in the original The Last Of Us game, as well as roles in TV series such as 24, The Vampire Diaries and Marvel’s Runaways.

Her final role was as the Borg Queen in Star Trek Picard.

A statement from Wersching’s husband, actor Stephen Full, reads:

“There is a cavernous hole in the soul of this family today. But she left us the tools to fill it. She found wonder in the simplest moment. She didn’t require music to dance. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find you. ‘Go find it. It’s everywhere.’ And find it we shall. As I drove our boys, the true loves of her life, down the winding driveway and street, she would yell BYE! until we were out of earshot and into the world. I can still hear it ringing. Bye my Buddie. ‘I love you little family…’ “

You can support her family (including her two sons) by contributing to a newly-launched GoFundMe page.
