Michelle Yeoh Is The First Malaysian To Be A Best Actress Oscar Nominee, Oscars 2023 Nominees Announced

Michelle Yeoh has made history by becoming the first Malaysian to be nominated for an Academy Award at the upcoming 95th Academy Awards, or Oscars 2023, which will take place on 13 March 2023 at 8am GMT+8.

Earlier this month, Michelle Yeoh also became the first Malaysian to win a Golden Globe Award at the 80th Golden Globe Awards, where she won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical for the movie, Everything Everywhere All At Once (2022).

We’re proud of our Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh. We hope that her achievement will inspire more Malaysians to rise above and beyond in the global stage. Malaysia Boleh!
