MPL Singapore Returns For Its 5th Season

A brand new year means a brand new season of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL). Mooton Games and Zenway jointly announce that the fifth season of the Singaporean circuit (MPL SG) qualifiers are going to commence in mid-February.

The open qualifiers will be held from 18 to 19 February with the top two teams advancing to the Regular Season of MPL SG S5, where they will face old dames from Season 4 looking to get themselves back up at the top once again. Registration ends on 15 February at 11:59 pm (UTC+8).

Jaime Cruz, Esports Lead, Singapore, MOONTON Games states that “MPL Singapore remains committed to our aim of enabling professional esports athletes to compete at the highest levels of sportsmanship. Given the right resources and support, we believe that our esports players can surpass other regional and international teams”

Managing Director of Zenway, Lee Jian Ming said “We had an awesome run in Season 4, achieving a record-breaking PCV and a full house for our Playoffs,

Season 5 will expand on our fans’ experiences, where we aim to continue enhancing the viewing experience online, while also improving the onsite fan experience to ensure accessibility and space for a larger audience.”

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional Leagues are avenues for local teams to reach regional and international competitions like the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) and the M-Series World Championship. Previously, Singaporean teams like RSG SG and Slate Esports (formerly EVOS SG) have competed on the global stage.

According to Lee, “Local esports athletes have a lot of passion and talent to offer, we always look at ways to raise the level of our league and players, and one of the ways is to expose the teams to international events where they can benefit from the experience.”
