BlazBlue’s Producer Creates Tokyo-Based Studio Flare

Two big names in the gaming industry, Toshinori Aoki and Toshimichi Mori, have teamed up to create a new gaming studio in Tokyo called Studio Flare.

They’ve got some serious backing too, with funding from NetEase Games, a division of NetEase, Inc. Aoki will be taking on the role of president and CEO while Mori will be serving as the development producer and executive vice president.

These guys have some impressive resumes. Aoki has been in executive roles at several video game companies, including Marvelous Inc., where he was on their board of directors. Mori, on the other hand, was the producer of BlazBlue, a hugely popular PvP fighting game with a strong community. He also served on the board of directors at Arc System Works.

So, what can we expect from Studio Flare? Well, the first game they’re developing hasn’t been announced yet, but they’re already hiring 2D and 3D artists, as well as server and infrastructure engineers. You can find more information about the job openings on their official website.

What we do know is that Studio Flare is looking to create games with an “edgy feel” that will bring excitement to hardcore gamers. They’re starting off by developing original games for console platforms with a small, but highly talented team based in their studio in Gotanda, Tokyo.

It’s always exciting to see new players enter the gaming industry, especially when they’ve got such impressive resumes behind them. We’ll definitely be keeping an eye on Studio Flare to see what they come up with next.
