Capcom Celebrates 40th Anniversary With A Theme Park, But…
During this morning’s Capcom Spotlight, the company added in this tidbit for its 40th anniversary. Has it really been that long?
Anyway, the company’s 40th-anniversary celebration involves a theme park, albeit a digital one. The park is called Capcom Town and it’s a digital museum with a ton of Capcom-themed buildings using the company’s various IPs from Mega Man to Street Fighter.

The grand opening is 12 June; you can check out the construction plans here on the link (teaser.captown.capcom.com). The link seems to be inactive at the moment; hopefully it’ll be ready later today. As a company that amassed a ton of IPs, it’ll be interesting to see what the digital theme park will show off. Hopefully we’ll get to see the classics like the Breath of Fire series to even Dead Rising stuff; anyone remembers that during the Xbox 360 golden age of gaming? No?
