Diablo 4 Rogue Player Solos World Boss Meant For 12 Players, Kinda…
If you want to hear a story about a player who nearly got a World Boss solo world record before someone jumped into the fray and kill-steal from him, stay awhile and listen.
Diablo 4’s Early Access and Open Beta weekends featured a World Boss named Ashava the Pestilent. He’s a giant demon dragon with wide-reaching moves and heavy-hitting attacks, as well as requiring 12 people to beat. Check out our attempt against the big fella below.
Got all that? Now imagine fighting it solo. That’s pretty much a challenge everybody is trying to attempt, with renowned Diablo player Wudijo almost being able to do so. Yes, he was close to defeating it until a random Necromancer came in to steal the kill at 2% life.
Wudijo’s max-level Rogue (level 25) was built with all sorts of legendary gear and featured wild damage while protecting himself with Dark Shroud while using Inner Sight as the go-to Rogue special skill. And he was on Hardcore too, meaning that if his character died, it’s wiped forever.
He managed to pull off the Solo feat, even if the random Necromancer stole the final blow. At least Wudijo was a good sport about it. Of course, if you want to see a pure solo effort, there’s another Diablo player named Vidjerei who managed to do just that without any interference.
Diablo 4 will be out on 6 June for PC and consoles; I’m very sure many players will want to attempt soloing this gargantuan demon dragon when the game launches. Or die trying.
