Open-World Racing LEGO 2K Drive Unveils Official Gameplay Trailer
By Ali'sha Harris|March 23, 2023|0 Comment
The official trailer for LEGO 2K Drive, the upcoming open-world racing game from 2K Games, has been released. The trailer follows the official teaser announcement made on 21 March by the official LEGO Twitter account.
Alongside the gameplay trailer, the Epic Games Store Youtube channel wrote the game’s release date, which launches this 19 May 2023. The “awesome reveal trailer” showcases the wacky and creative karts players could build and experience in the home of “Bricklandia”. A glimpse of the garage allows players to create a range of crazy and awesome rides. The vehicles can transform based on their surrounding, which gives players a lot of flexibility and prevents any loss of momentum in the open world.
Some of the humour may be a little cheesy like chickens crossing the road, but most of it is charming and will be delightful if the gameplay retains its youthful playfulness. LEGO video games always aim to deliver freedom in creativity and they showed in the gameplay trailer. Racing can take place anywhere and with anyone, and players fight it out for the coveted Sky Trophy against wild racing rivals! Interestingly, the game offers a Story mode, jumping into a single race or joining the Cup series tourney. Mini-games for those who wish to let loose and just have that pure fun racing adventure.
Moreover, players get to choose three gameplay editions; the standard, the awesome, and the awesome rivals edition. These can be purchased individually, so hopefully, players can pick and choose the same way with other special content.
LEGO 2K Drive is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on 19 May 2023.
