Meta Sacks Ready At Dawn And Downpour Interactive Employees In Latest Cutbacks

The “hits” just keep on coming for the company formerly known as Facebook.

Meta’s latest round of layoffs has hit its internal game development studios, most notably Ready At Dawn and Downpour Interactive. The latest round happened on Wednesday PST time, with employees from the VR game development portion mentioning their recent layoffs from the company.

Meta has cut 11,000 employees in late 2022, with CEO Mark Zuckerberg announcing plans to axe 10,000 more jobs by May. It’s looking to many people that the Metaverse may not have much of a future if this keeps going on.
