Netflix May 2023: Our Picks & Highlights

I’m sure you won’t want to waste time sifting through Netflix’s extensive catalogue of shows and movies just to decide on what to watch. The streaming giant updates its site every day, week, and month with new content, so I’m here to save your precious time.

Here are my personal recommendations and highlights for Netflix Malaysia’s May 2023 lineup and how to fill up your free time with worthwhile content at home:

Ultraman Season 3 (11 May 2023)

The final season of Ultraman will premiere as the tale of the Warriors of Light heads toward a climax riddled with mysteries. The Ultraman anime has garnered huge popularity both in Japan and around the globe since Netflix began streaming Season 1 in 2019 and Season 2 in 2022. Ultraman finally reaches its magnificent conclusion in this final season.

Mulligan (12 May 2023)

When most of Earth is destroyed by aliens, can a few survivors rebuild what’s left of America and form a more perfect union? Mulligan – a new Netflix comedy series created by Robert Carlock and Sam Means (best known as the creators of 30 Rock and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

Black Knight (12 May 2023)

In a dystopian 2071 devastated by air pollution, the survival of humanity depends on the Black Knights — and they’re far from your average deliverymen.

The Woman King (12 May 2023)

The Mother (12 May 2023)

After years of hiding out in the Alaskan wilderness, a deadly assassin returns to rescue the daughter she loved from afar. It stars Jennifer Lopez, Joseph Fiennes, Lucy Paez, Omari Hardwick, Paul Raci, and Gael Garcia Bernal.

FUBAR (25 May 2023)

Heroes don’t retire. They reload. Arnold Schwarzenegger is starring in his first series ever!

When a father and daughter learn that they’ve each secretly been working as CIA Operatives for years, they realize their entire relationship has been a lie and they truly don’t know one another at all. Forced to team up as partners, FUBAR tackles universal family dynamics set against a global backdrop of spies, fantastic action and humor.
