The Twisted Metal Series Lands On Peacock This July

The first official poster for the Twisted Metal live-action series adaptation has been revealed (via IGN), and it will premiere on the Peacock streaming service on 27 July 2023.

Twisted Metal stars Anthony Mackie as protagonist John Doe, a “smart-ass” delivery driver who transports supplies between settlements in a post-apocalyptic America. He has no memory of his past but gets a chance at a better life by making one special delivery across the dangerous landscape.

The series is described as an action comedy. Other characters include Sweet Tooth, who will be voiced by Will Arnett and physically performed by pro wrestler Samoa Joe. The cast also includes Stephanie Beatriz, Thomas Haden Church, Richard Cabral, Tahj Vaughans, and Neve Campbell. The show is being produced by Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions, and it’s the second TV adaptation of a first-party PlayStation game to arrive this year following HBO’s The Last Of Us.

There will be 10 episodes in Twisted Metal Season 1. Stay tuned for when we cover the teaser trailer, which is slated to arrive later tonight (Malaysian time).
