Assassin’s Creed Mirage Confirms October Release Date, Unveils First Look At Gameplay

During the PlayStation Showcase 2023, Ubisoft confirmed that Assassin’s Creed will launch on 12 October 2023 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

It is a successor and spinoff of 2020’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Assassin’s Creed Mirage was first unveiled at the September 2022 Ubisoft Forward. In Assassin’s Creed Mirage, you are Basim, a cunning street thief with nightmarish visions, seeking answers and justice. After an act of deadly retribution, Basim flees Baghdad and joins an ancient organization – The Hidden Ones. As he learns their mysterious rituals and powerful tenets, he will hone his unique abilities, discover his true nature, and come to understand a new Creed – one that will change his fate in ways he never could have imagined.

Some new features that can be seen in the gameplay trailer are the Assassin’s Focus, which allows Basim to mark and assassinate several targets in a row. You also will get classic Assassin tools such as throwing knives and smoke bombs. There is also a brand-new parkour ingredient, the Pole Vault.

The trailer also introduces the character of Fuladh, a Rafiq and Eagle-Master to the Hidden Ones. Along with Master Roshan, whose voice guides Basim throughout this trailer, he is another important character in Basim’s journey to becoming a Hidden One. Many elements from past games are making a return: We have the corner swing, the ability to vault over objects and “elevators” to quickly reach high ground.
