Akira Toriyama’s Sand Land Is Getting A Video Game Adaptation
We found out a couple of months ago that the creator of Dragon Ball, Akira Toriyama is getting one of his manga series Sand Land adapted into a movie which is to be released later this year. But what we didn’t expect is that Bandai Namco is also adapting it into a game which was announced at Summer Game Fest.
Sand Land is based on a manga created by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama and originally published from 22 May to 28 August 2000.
The Sand Land movie is the first in a “wide variety of content” as part of the Sand Land Project, which is being led by Bandai Namco Entertainment.
In case you don’t know, Sand Land is based in a desert world where both demons and humans suffer from an extreme water shortage, Beelzebub, the prince of demons, and Rao, a small-town sheriff, form a tag team and set off on an adventure in search of the Phantom Lake somewhere in the desert.
Besides the trailer itself, there’s no more information for the time being but when there is, be sure to tune in!
